1. Just reflecting on something I was told earlier this week. It seems DfE say the care review will be shorter & less wide ranging than the Scottish care review as England is larger & more complex. This appears to be accepted as a 'given".>
2. That "given" baffles me, as we have not yet had the name of an independent chair for review released. If this political decision has been made already, who made it, & who did they consult? I ask WHY should an English care review be shorter & less wide ranging? >
3. The Care Review will be the only chance for major reform in a generation & possibly the only time govt might at least pretend to consult the care experienced community of all ages extensively. Yet already it seems back room decisions have been made limiting its size & scope? >
4. I ask - Has a decision been made to limit the size & scope of this care review compared to Scotland? If so, who made this decision, who was consulted as part of that decision? I admit freely to lacking trust in this govt to run a fair open review. Please tell me if I'm wrong.
