We are not an identity, but a diverse group of people who can not be defined by one narrative - we need to ensure that any advocacy considers the children & families facing incredibly complex issues & prioritised the need for psychological & family support

We need to ensure that groups such as @dsdfamilies receive the funding they need to support parents & help them understand that there is no easy surgical fix & that they will be supported to help their child grow up to feel positive about their different body

We need funding for a non-surgical pathway, to ensure that the care of children is truly holistic & not based on ideological beliefs that we were born in the wrong body & need to be fixed. We need opportunities for peer support & funding to create positive stories for children

There is so much that can be done - our issues are rarely about gender or sex markers & it is vital that @Nancy_M_K understands this before advocating in our name - a true ally would discuss our needs & not debate our bodies & I hope @stonewalluk will respect this

A true ally would not other us as a third sex or neither male or female & would allow us the space to define ourselves in the way that is best for us - we should not be appropriated, othered or used to validate beliefs in gender identities, we are real people with our own voices

A true ally would not use us as gotchas in debates about gender & should call out those who use us in this way, with such little respect for our complex & frequently traumatic histories - and I hope @Nancy_M_K will a true ally & reach out to those of us with lived experience
