No matter what is said in a given conversation, the far-left mind will cynically project the 'real' motives behind the language.

The words *cannot* be taken prima facie. Instead they are a mask hiding an identity group power play.
Moderns and postmoderns differ in the methods by which they employ language. To the modernist, the "mask" metaphor simply means non-literal. To unmask means getting to the literal meaning. For postmodernistst, unmasking never terminates with reality, simply more language.
So to PoMos, language cannot be cognitive because it does not connect to reality. It's not about being aware of the world, distinguishing true from false, or about argument in the traditional sense of validity or soundness. The only thing left is rhetorical persuasion
This explains the nasty & reality-detached language we see from the Left these days. Ad hominem, straw men arguments, Lammy's "worse than nazis", cancel culture etc.
we know modernist thinking differs deeply. A modernist observes reality perceptually, forms conceptual beliefs about reality on the basis of said perceptions, & then acts in reality on the basis of those perceptual and conceptual cognitive states
