Derek Sivers' appearance on #TheKnowledgeProject has been a tremendous learning experience for me.

Innovation, decision making and living life - the episode is filled with nuggets of wisdom.

Here are my key takeaways from the episode:
Be naive.

This way, you question the ways of the world, and notice how people imitate these legacies without thinking twice.

Ignoring the imitators and doing your own thing is more inventive and fun.
Delegate often.

It'll be tough today, but over the long-term it'll compound the benefits to the endeavor.
Merge ideas with execution.

An awful idea with excellent execution is better than a great idea with an awful execution.
Thriving in an unknown environment/project:

- Chart out worst-case scenarios. Best case scenarios don't need prep.
- Expect disaster
- Be minimalistic
- Avoid planning : Best plan is one that lets you change plans
- Choose opportunity over loyalty
5 ways to be stop being rich and happy:

1. Surround yourself with possessions
2. Buy things(Why rent it?)
3. Internalize and celebrate your status
4. Compare yourself to others
5. Get used to a comfortable life
On making decisions:

The best decision is one that makes you ACT. Don't focus on results or effectiveness.
