Debunking "um actually terfs believe pronouns don't equal gender so they misgender trans people":

To misgender somebody, is to purposefully use incorrect pronouns for somebody, with the intent and/or knowledge that you are using the incorrect pronouns. Let's play out a scenario! You have a terf, and you have a trans man. The trans man has he/him in his bio.

The terf starts using she/her pronouns for the trans man. We can all agree that what the terf is doing is misgendering the trans man, but do we know that the terf has the INTENT to misgender the trans man?

In order for a terf to believe that gender equals pronouns and use that belief to misgender the trans man, they would have to acknowledge the trans man's identity. They would have to acknowledge that he is a man, and purposefully use "female pronouns"

In WHAT world, will a terf acknowledge that he is a man? Terfs are transphobes, they don't even believe transgender exists. They only believe that trans people are either confused lesbians or predatory men. Terfs believe gender equals sex and you can't change your gender.

So why else would a terf use she/her pronouns for him? Let's go back to the question of, do they intend to misgender them? No they don't, in fact they have intent...to gender them correctly!! Now you may be asking questions, but let me explain in the simplest way possible

A terf will never believe a trans man is a man, in fact they think the trans man has a vagina, that he is therefore a woman and then uses she/her pronouns.

Because they believe pronouns equal gender.
