I want nothing more than to re open my restaurant. But I don't understand people demanding that we ditch these lockdowns and reopen now, pretending we don't have a virus to deal with.

We can't reopen restaurants without people being able to travel freely, without the whole community being able to operate. If we want all that now, we have to be willing to give up all the work done to date for a future that would inevitably involve large numbers of infected,

many more dying, leading to people very unlikely to go out, staff feeling at risk when at work, businesses suffering, only in a different way.
It's a seriously shitty situation, totally dictated by the numbers, and we have no choice but to own it.
