[THREAD] #NUFC were 16th for shot creating actions (SCA) p90 last season so the arrival of R.Fraser would be a welcomed one.

Fraser had 2.87 SCA per game for Bournemouth last season (2nd in the squad) which resulted in 4 assists (joint 1st in the squad) 1/7
His SCA dropped by 23% compared to the previous season - this was 7% more than B/mouth’s reduction & highlights his dip in form. However, he still accounted for almost 20% of Bournemouth’s chances when he was on the pitch. 2/7
Fraser is a right footer that plays predominantly down the left, but he can rotate sides & has a decent spread of assists from both flanks. He possesses a quality set piece delivery, particularly his in-swinging corners from the left side. 3/7
As right footed player on the left you would expect him to cut inside more, but he’s relatively two-footed and has a burst of pace. This provides a double threat for defenders as he can either side which keeps them guessing. 4/7
In 18/19 he preferred to cross earlier & from deeper positions but in 19/20 he played more shorter passes to the inside.

He complained after a 0-0 draw with Norwich in Oct that he'd been instructed not to cross it as much – I expect Bruce to tell him the opposite. 5/7
Mainly known for his creative ability, Fraser also carries a goal threat & scored 7 goals in 18/19 but only managed 1 goal last season.

In 18/19 he overperformed his xG by 2.5 whereas last season he underperformed it by 2.2 & his shot volume reduced significantly. 6/7
Hopefully Fraser is confirmed over the next few days.

Bruce’s man-management is one of his strengths and if he can get him back to playing like he did in 18/19 then this could be a brilliant free transfer which adds much needed creativity to the #NUFC squad. 7/7
