New "out of context" or gimmick accounts are getting blocked on sight, swear to god.
I won't pretend that I don't follow and gimmick accounts or that I'm bigger than them somehow, but I'm so tired of seeing specific topics that I don't want to see anymore be brought back on my TL.
I feel like this is gonna sound silly, but some of the content from those accounts (especially the ones centered around nostalgic cartoons) bring up really awkward memories of who I used to be. It's really uncomfortable to me.
This isn't to say that people who follow these or have memories from that type of content are bad, or even the content itself is bad. I'm just tired of seeing certain media that I should've forgotten about years ago come back into my adult life in bite-sized viral clips and memes
I'm hoping people will understand where I'm coming from with this, I sometimes don't know if I really phrase what I'm saying correctly when I "speak seriously."
