Hello everyone and welcome to #PuppyBookClub! Before we begin with our regular read of the week, I have an announcement about a new pal I have met who runs a book club for our adult peoples in this space! Millie @MillieMall and her mom head up #catchatbookclub! (See thread 1/10)
Their club has been active since March 2019 and each month peoples chat about books they have read/are reading and have a great social time! Millie tweets out a book theme for the month and they discuss a variety of reads! All peoples are welcome! (2/10) https://twitter.com/MillieMall/status/1297981911902584833?s=19
Anyways, Millie and her mom (a librarian) welcome any new friends to follow and contact her directly for more info! The #catchatbookclub meets on the 4th Sunday of each month at 8pm UK time (3pm EST)! Very happy to bring this info to all #PuppyBookClub members! (3/10)
Now to tonight's book! With school starting (or recently started) we are visiting a lovely read about the first day! "First Day Jitters" by Julie Dammeberg with illustrations by Judy Love is a great story that examines some typical feelings with starting school! (4/10)
Our story begins with Mr. Hartwell waking up Sarah so she can get ready for her first day at her new school! Sarah does not want to go and tries to make excuses to stay home! Mr. Hartwell prompts her to get ready and come downstairs for breakfast! (5/10)
Sara does get up and dressed for school! She comes downstairs where Mr. Hartwell greets her with toast and another pep talk! He has packed her lunch and tells her it's time to go! (6/10)
Mr. Hartwell drives Sarah to the school! She is very nervous to leave the car and go in! Her new principal Mrs. Burton comes out to the car to welcome Sarah and take her to her new classroom! (7/10)
Mrs. Burton leads Sarah into the school and down the hall into her classroom! The students are all getting into their seats when Mrs. Burton asks for their attention to introduce... (8/10)
...their new teacher, Mrs. SARAH Hartwell!! OMD!
Sarah was a new teacher, not a student! I know school can be anxiety provoking for some so I want to wish all teachers and students the very best in this unique year! I hope everyone is safe and successful! (9/10)

Lastly, our great pal "The Snoopervisor"
@WilmaBenton19 sent this awesome owl that will now be our #PuppyBookClub Mascot! If you think of a name for him/her, please post on the thread! I have already had some great suggestions & I will reveal the name at next Book Club! (10/10)
