I've said it once, and I'll say it again, you don't have to give talks at conferences to contribute within #infosec

Other things you could do:

1. Write a guide
2. Find bugs
3. Make YouTube videos
4. Encourage others
5. Write a book
6. Offer mentorship
7. Review resumes
8. Start a podcast
9. Volunteer at conferences or for organizations
..and lastly:
10. Educate, because the more you learn - the more you can give back.
When I say lastly, I mean for this list. I've seen outstanding community contributions. I didn't even mention making tools or submitting feature improvements for existing tools.

There are so many ways you can help.
Never feel bad about your lack of contributions. I'm willing to assert that you've helped someone in this field and you just don't know it. Talks are great, but trust me, if you have given 0 talks you're still cooler than you know.
