man i’m sad about ritsumao because when i read the canon shit i honestly can’t tell if mao genuinely cares about ritsu like i was joking before about his density but now i just feel like he takes care of ritsu because he’s a people pleaser?? and out of a sense of obligation+

+since they’re childhood friends but again i have a hard time believing that because it just doesnt feel like they’re friends either?? it feels like ritsu is trying to get close to mao, which is weird if they’re childhood friends, and mao is putting up a shield against him+

+i don’t know i used to enjoy ritsumao but now i can’t tell if mao genuinely cares about ritsu with most of all he does is complain when they’re together and i guess i understand why ritsu gets mad at him or feels like mao is getting further away from him because it really feels+

+like the only people he genuinely shows affection towards is trickstar, i get not being overly affectionate like ritsu is but he could at least, idk, not make it feel like it’s a pain to take care of him?? i mean we all know ritsu’s condition and how bad it can get especially+

+in horror night halloween when he was being independent and relying on mao less and he had to rest more often in the infirmary, what urks me the most is how izumi had to /tell/ mao to check up on ritsu and when he did he even brought makoto with him (no offense)+

+like is it such a bother to go check up on your friend, who you’ve known for years, without any prompting??? did it even occur to you to check on him on your own?? i know they’re just friends but even friends love each other and get concerned about each other and+

+i just dont really see that with mao to ritsu, i feel like he takes care of him because he likes the extra work, as it’s been mentioned that he enjoys overworking himself and mot having free time, and i feel like ritsu is just another one of those things+

+anyway that’s just me word vomiting about ritsumao, it just urked me how mao was so flippant about ritsu when they’re supposed to be childhood friends, i don’t see the friendship at all, i see it more with mao/trickstar and ritsu with knights/mika/koga/man even kaoru
