Too many supporters aren’t grasping importance of having a manager with the ability to change culture of a club and adopt strategy that ensures right profiles and characters are brought in. Solskjaer isn’t doing a ‘trophy and go’ build here. He’s putting in solid foundations.

If Ole followed Ferguson think a lot more would have patience for what Solskjaer is doing. I get the annoyance at how far United have fallen after so many glimmers of false dawns since Sir Alex, but truly believe THIS manager is doing all the right things in moving club forward.

Yeah, ‘it’s a results business’ we all get that and no supporter is under any pretence abt where this club SHOULD be but the guy got us third with no midfield for half a season and his two forwards out injured. He has earned this season and I’m very excited about what we can do.

And yeah maybe his predecessor would have won us a title if he’d been backed THAT summer but Ole walked into emaciated squad passed on from a manager who has always burnt a club out after a few seasons. I want an actual future for Manchester United, not a passing tint of silver.

So my wish for the new season is that supporters actually support Manchester United and park their preconceived agendas. Hold Solskjaer to account for decisions he makes, offer fair critique but for God’s sake enough with Mourinho. Please. Onwards
