He spent most of my childhood and Young adulthood working away from home on large infrastructure projects. When I was 24 my parents divorced. My father left NZ and only returned sporadically until he was 84. I didn’t have a father figure. I lost my grandpa ( my rock) at 21.

I envy those people who had a father growing up. So if you have a great dad treasure him because life is short and you are truly blessed.
