After 100 days (and many years) of protest I sincerely hope we all understand the important difference between marching and more powerful tactics of disruption.
Acts of disruption and civil disobedience don’t only put more pressure on politicians to change things, they also empower protesters/activists/etc. They make people want to come out again, unlike long marches that wear people out, are minimally disruptive, and can feel aimless.
I am of course not saying all marches are bad. But if you have 200 people there are much more disruptive acts than shutting an intersection down for a minute as you pass through. Feeling powerful is not as important as actually being powerful.
