In my lifetime, I have seen all presidents since Eisenhower. Never ever had I witnessed a POTUS enjoy the idol worship that #Cult45 indulges in. No boat parades; no daily rallies; no flags; no clothing embossed with the portrait or even the name of a president. Even during

election season, people were restrained in expressing their preference in candidates. All of these previous presidents were, good, honest men, whom I respected immensely, even as I did not always agree politically with them. They all held their positions with the country

& our collective welfare in mind. Even Richard Nixon & Jimmy Carter were, at their core, good, decent Americans who did their best to keep us united, safe, & prosperous. Those 2 men had their failings, but they were & are good men worthy of respect.

Which brings us to Trump. Never have we ever elected such an odious, immoral, rapacious, mean, spiteful, hateful, self serving, dishonest, repugnant & outright unsavory human being to our nation's highest office. And the man has fully 30% of the nation

bowing at his feet, hanging at his every fallacious tweet, slavering over his every insult, ignoring his every violation of our laws, excusing his every blunder & celebrating his every lie as if it were the truth. I have never been accused of being an optimist, so when

I say that our nation is in grave peril, I do not think anyone will be surprised with my conclusion. But know this. If we, the people, fail to sober up & recognize Donald Trump for who he is, and if we fail to vote him out of office on November 3rd, we will be responsible
