— Explaining Caitlin Snow, and Killer Frost, As A Bad Character, A Thread!

From her problematic actress to problematic and lazy writing, Caitlin Snow and Killer Frost are just simply terrible characters. I’ll admit, she was a cool character the first season and maybe even the second, but beyond that? Yeah, the literal embodiment of a terrible character.

To start off, Caitlin is a literal elitist. Miss girl didn’t even try hiding it, it’s very embarrassing. Her line ‘clearly he’s trying to make something of his life’ - COMPLETELY disregarding Jax’s trauma caused by the explosion and ignoring that Jax is clearly a better match.

Once she met Jax, she once again completely ignored his feelings, which are 100% valid, about not wanting to become Firestorm. She’s also so hypocritical about him getting powers but it was a different story when it was her in the situation. Right.

Which also ties into her being hypocritical, again, and downright selfish. Like I said, she disregards Jax’s feelings many times and here she does it again, but when she’s given powers she doesn’t want?

When she’s given powers she doesn’t want, she spends an entire episode being a villain and hurting people all in hopes of trying to get her powers taken away, which endangered MANY people and in the end, Barry had to sacrifice his job for her and did he even get a thank you? No.

She tried killing Barry and attacked him emotionally multiple times throughout that episode, while she also endangered Iris’ life as well as taking time away from saving Iris for her own selfish reasons and only apologized to.. Cisco? She didn’t even apologize, they let her off.

And the lengths she went to in hopes of getting her powers taken? She pressured Jax so much and then tried to villainize and guilt trip him when he didn’t want them but when it’s her? She put so many people at risk because of her own SELFISH reasons.

Further into her selfishness, ever since the team found out about Caitlin’s powers and 3x07, Iris has tried to split the time to save her and Caitlin both but when it came to Caitlin saving Iris? She had to be BEGGED. And what she said to her? That speaks for itself.

Further into her selfishness, especially when it comes to her powers, she took the philosophers stone without telling anyone which then caused Wally to be pulled into the speed force and forced to watch his mother die over and over again.

She didn’t want to risk her own life and control saving Iris but she willingly put Wally’s life on the line to steal a piece of the stone which put Wally in his own personal hell? Literal definition of selfish.

And when she fully became Killer Frost, she began working with Savitar - the man trying to kill Iris and the who actually did kill HR. It’s also funny how people blame Iris for his death when Caitlin was the one willingly working with Savitar, and HR was the reason they took her.

She also kidnapped Cecile and not once ever apologized to her. On multiple occasions, Caitlin likes to say she came back to try and make amends for her wrong doings but she NEVER apologizes to the people she actually hurt.

Now of course, Joe was hurt by Caitlin since she kidnapped his girlfriend and also worked with the man who tried killing his daughter so sure, maybe he deserves an apology but him being the ONLY one to get an apology? Not Iris, not Cecile - not even Barry?

And are we ever going to touch on her sexual assault? It’s not a secret the show runners and even the fan base have a sick obsession with romanticizing sexual assault but seriously? It’s very disturbing and downright dangerous to your viewers who are sexual assault survivors.

Moving onto other parts of her being a terrible character, the way her fans literally excuse her being a HUMAN TRAFFICKER is incredibly hilarious. People even try saying it was Killer Frost when Frost literally said Caitlin went to Amunet, not herself.

Caitlin was working at Amunet’s bar in 4x01 and then went back to tell that meta that she wanted out which then brought Frost out. It was established that Caitlin doesn’t have DID, so it’s not a split personality meaning in some way, Caitlin has been in control, while she’s Frost

If you want to use the excuse ‘just because she worked at the bar, didn’t mean she trafficked!’ aside from the video, it wasn’t a secret Amunet trafficked metahumans and if she knew but ‘didn’t help traffic’ she’s still working for a human trafficker. And there’s proof she knew.

She also puts Cynthia in danger for, once again, HERSELF. And just as any other instance, she never apologizes to Cynthia, she simply moves on with her day trying to get Frost back and be a bitch to Iris.

Once again, she does something selfish to get Frost back but this also ties into human trafficking. This girl literally agreed to doing another job for Amunet if she gave her the splicer to get Frost back and without even consulting the team.

Let’s talk about how incredibly rude she is. On multiple occasions, she brushes Iris off when she’s trying to protect and help her. 4x05, that was Iris’ bachelorette party but she spent it trying to convince Cecile and Felicity Caitlin wasn’t bad but Caitlin made her feel bad.

In that video, she insinuates its somehow Iris’ fault but then later in the season, after Caitlin was selfish once again and nearly got Cynthia killed, Iris tries to help her and she is a complete bitch and brushes her off AGAIN.

She also laughs along with Cecile when Nora is being bratty towards her despite it being very obvious that the way Nora treats Iris affects her in a very negative way and she wants to blame Iris for them not being friends? I would’ve kicked her ass.

Let’s also touch on the fact that she is literally never held accountable. She never apologizes, she never learns, she never owns up to her wrong doings. Frost didn’t even get a real redemption arc but she got a drink? Oh for god sakes, please explain.

Caitlin and Killer Frost are simply bad characters and people waste their time hating on Iris? That’s hilarious. Caitlin is coddled and treated like a snowflake that can do no wrong and people call Iris toxic *to Barry* when Caitlin literally does this?
