I hated myself when I ran my first half marathon and was disappointed I didn’t lose 20 pounds.. Like, GIRL! You just trained for and ran a half marathon!!!!

I knew then I had to change my mindset from *weight loss goals* to *fitness goals* and it has made me so much happier.
Now, I talk about beating my times, how many kms I do during training, how I feel playing soccer.. I do not weigh myself or measure. Fuck it! I *feel* great.
I went to a dietician who changed my mindset about eating. I was always counting calories and restricting them going through the guilt and shame of it all... But now I think about food as *what is going to fuel me to do the activity I want to do* so I eat accordingly.
I would always be starving after running or soccer so I’d binge eat every night.. I *wasnt eating enough during the day* like what!? Not eating enough? But my calories!!! Fuck calories! Fuelllll your body!
Anyways. You can do *ANYTHING* you put your mind to doing. And you can switch your mindset from *anything* with the right tools to do so.

Don’t ever be discouraged!
I’m excited to run my half.. and then I want to get a personal trainer for strength training in January. I love having goals and plans in place, it helps so much with motivation and getting out there.
