TW: violence / with the respect the vets hashtag i'm reminded of the time i was at work and a veteran told me his most prized possession was a box of body parts he cut off of korean people he killed during the war.

i'm reminded of the letter sent to korean war veteran families from the US government calling my family's culture, language, and traditions a disease to be eradicated (literally "koreanitis").

i'm reminded that this letter advised families to keep veterans away from any young women in the house, just for a little bit, while they "adjusted back to civilian life."

i'm reminded that in certain parts of korea, the ground is so full of bodies murdered by pro-US soldiers that the landscape glows with the phosphorous from their bones. i do not respect your fcking war criminals
