From near universal health care to say nothing of getting rid of pre existing conditions in Vermont in 1992. They did get off the Dean train in 2000 when we enacted the first marriage equality bill in the country. I gave most Trump voters a pass in 2016.

This year is different. Voters have no excuse for not knowing Trump is a corrupt racist and a chronic liar. If you are willing to vote for that for president, your vision for the US is far different than the principles I was taught America stood for.

I think some voters don’t care, Nixon still had a thirty percent favorable rating the day he resigned. But I also think a lot of trump voters are doubling down because in their soul they know they made a mistake and are struggling with that. They may still vote for trump

But they are the people we can reach out to work with to rebuild a post Trump America.
