In February 2020, she discussed the dilemmas in feminism, organized by a study group called Feminist Multilogues in Delhi. During this session, she talked about sex workers, the expression of religious identity in public, politics regarding gender identities & citizenship.

Nivedita is among one of the most interesting intellectuals in India, discussing Indian women movements and grappling with questions regarding abortion, rape, and violence.

She also won the A.K. Ramanujan Award for translation from Hindi & Malayalam into English in 1994.
