I compiled the 2020 @trekonlinegame ship (re)releases (excluding special Lobi offerings for the Jem'Hadar Strike Ship and Tzenkethi Tzen-tar, and Lockbox/Lobi/Promo ship releases as they have no fixed Zen value).

Brace yourselves. (A Thread)

1) We've only had "5" offerings under 10,000 Zen at normal (no sale) price:
* Ships of the Line: Akira-Class (6,000 Zen)
* 4 Support Carriers (3,000 Zen each)

2) "6" offerings had individual T6 ships under 5,000 Zen during their sale run:
(2/9)
* Fek'ihri S'torr Warship (3,400 Zen; 80% Mudd's Market sale)
* Vulcan T'Pau Scout Ship (3,400 Zen; 80% Mudd's Market sale)
* 4 Support Carriers individually (2,400 Zen individually, initial sale)

3) 2 of the 3 new Promo ships released so far have been Federation only:
(3/9)
* Section 31 Battlecruiser
* Inquiry-class Battlecruiser

4) Only one traditional new C-Store release (new T6 ship(s) at 3,000 Zen each and a corresponding Bundle):
* Support Carriers.

5) Of new ships that only had one faction-specific version, all were Federation-only:

(4/9)
* Legendary Starship Bundle (10)
* Both Fed-only Promo ships (2)
* This doesn't count the Aspero/Vo'Devwl since they're practically the same ship in a different faction-appropriate skin, give or take a few stats and Cloak.

I think points 1 and 2 are the most telling: PWE/Cryptic in 2020 has all but abandoned the sub-$50 price point.

If you want a new ship OR account-unlocked Lockbox/Lobi/Promo ship (when they are/become available), you're probably paying a AAA game price...or 2. (6/9)
That's a disturbing upward trend; looking just at last year, we had at least 4 traditional new C-Store releases:
* Discovery Operations Pack (individual ships available in the C-Store)
* Temporal Destroyers
* Strike Wing Escorts
* Intel Science Vessels (7/9)
I've said it before, and I'll say it again:

I hope this is either COVID-related ( re-releasing older content is easier, plus work-at-home inefficiencies slow down new releases) or Crptic/PWE finding a new price point for stuff that's in-demand...(8/9)
...and will settle higher than we'd been used to BUT lower than what they've been doing.

We'll see.

As Kyle Busch has said of his bad luck every time something else new happens to ruin one of his races:

"It's still 2020."

Adding one more fact...

6) Of 21 releases (not necessarily individual ships), the breakdown is this:
* Traditional C-Store: 1 (Bundle)
* Mudd's: 6 (2 Choice Packs, 4 Ships)
* Lockbox/Promo: 7
* Lobi: 1
* Free: 2
* Legendary: 2 (10 Fed ships, 1 any)
* Re-bundled (not Mudd's): 2
NOTE: It's 21 Ship-based releases, and "not necessarily individual" refers to things like Mudd's Market Choice Packs being 1 release even with 3+ ships.
And I missed the Kobayashi Maru/Tong'Duj Frigates, for free during the "No-Win Scenarios" Event and 2,000 Zen to Buyout.

That makes 22 ship releases with 3 of them being free.

I'll update my spreadsheet from which I'm working for those.
