Drama on Twitter is not something I usually get involved with (shhhhh), but after what went down last night, where I had to console a friend because of the words of an insecure gaslighting worm, I have to speak up.

Apologies in advance for those who are anti-Twitter drama.

You may have seen my tweet from last night. Some in the comments didn't know who I was referring to, I think my 'mate' comment was more cryptic than I thought.

Mate, or Dan to his fellow buddies, spent 2 hours in DMs with Nym last night, berating her and making it out like she's a horrible person, to the extent that she publicly declared she's leaving Twitter for a while.

The reason that sparked off this heated exchange?...

A simple request by Nym for him to follow through with something he said he'd do, change his banner, because it bared a striking resemblance to another's, someone who happens to be the 2nd largest #FPL channel on YouTube.

These were the Twitter banners, but YT ones are the same.

Looking out for her friend, & fellow Wildcat, Nym pointed it out to him. She even said he didn't need to copy the branding, because his content was good on its own account. He was 'embarrassed' & offered to change it

Well apparently he did. Can you spot the drastic change?

Yep, he added a few players. Hardly a worthwhile change is it?

Apparently its coincidence though, he didn't mean for it to be so similar. Maybe it's easy for such things to be so alike, I mean purple is hardly a colour exclusive to said plagiarised channel, the Prem use it too.

So, out of curiosity, I looked at some of the other FPL YouTube channels, to see how many were similar.

Turns out, they're all different. Funny that.

Are purple & green popular colours? Yeah

Are any pretty much copies of another? Nope

So, looks like a fair point right? Maybe having something a little more individual, more creative from someone who has a 'decade of experience' in making YouTube videos

Like I've said before, that experience & knowledge obviously taught him to piggyback off big channels

Ok, the insecure part.

Apparently 'everyone hates' him. No idea where he got that feeling from. Just because people question your steep rise in subscribers, your brash attitude, your inability to take criticism for someone who made a living out of giving it (more later)?

The subscriber thing? I mean going from 10k to 18.3k in a week is certainly impressive. Averaging over a 1k new subscribers a day, for a channel that's only really been putting content out for a few months

I mean, be honest, the content is nothing special, to warrant such growth

But hey, I can't prove anything

Now to the past career stuff I mentioned.

You may not have heard of YouTuber VWQ, or Danarchy, but he looks familiar.

Anything wrong with having a previous life on YouTube? Of course not, it's not a secret either, he has the 'experience'.

He doesn't post on this channel any more, apparently there was some beef, and he left that particular community, shocking huh?

It was basically a 'commentary' channel, again using other people's content and simply commentating on it & the people involved. Super creative right?

Do the people he done videos on deserve to be "exposed", ridiculed, made jokes out of? I dunno, maybe. I don't know them, I can't judge them for whatever they may or may not have done. That's obviously for him & his cheap Russell Brand like presenting style to do.

So, the guy thrives on controversy. It's what he creates to get views, grow his various channels, etc.

Yes, I know, I'm not exactly helping by pouring petrol on the flames by giving him attention & free promotion, but I bite easily, it's a weakness.

Now, back to the Nym situation

This morning he posted this on @FPL_Fly's post

"accusations...are twisted paraphrasing. I never said those things." - he did, he called her mean, and condescending for called a 27-year-old man "hun" & "buddy".

Even sweet Amy stepped in.

Oh, also this.

Apparently it's a 'private issue', even though he blocked her so can hardly stay private right?

And even threatened that he has the ability to "expose" Nym, but has 'no desire' to (true gent).

Of what? Being an Arsenal fan? We already know hun, it's no secret.

Now he probably means "expose" Nym as a mean person because she wanted him to change his plagiaristic banner & branding, or jealous of him growing so quickly, suspectful of views/subscriber ratios (most of us are buddy).

But I think we all know Nym a bit better than you do hun.

Nym is one of the nicest, most genuine people you'll find. She's made a point of helping out new creators, either by giving them tips, advice, as someone to bounce ideas off, or having them on the Wildcats channel.

I've known her for many years, and I'm a better person for it.

She's tried to be different and a pioneer for other ladies in FPL & football on Twitter as a whole. Which is generally a crowd of brash, chauvinistic, too big for their britches men (much like yourself).

Just look at the amount of positive comments under her tweets.

And she's not the 'bitch behind your back' type, if she has an issue with you, she'll tell you to your face. For instance, maybe having a DM exchange about some less than creative graphic work.

She tried to help you out, & you thought you was Billy Big B*llocks & threw it back

When the Patreon stuff kicked offbefore, many (including myself) were laying into you, Nym was the one that gave a measured response, offering possible avenues you could take to still support your channel & not cause a stir.

She didn't have to do that, but she's nice like that.

Now I'm not stupid, I know that the microcosm that is FPL Twitter, especially one small voice in it, has absolutely no effect on YouTube viewing figures etc. He will carry on growing, pumping out meh level content, I'll probably be blocked cause I'm 'toxic' & all will be fine...

...in his world but the main reason for writing this was not for the subs, banners, etc, it was because he chose to make someone I care about feel about 1 inch tall.

A 2-hour session of manipulative hateful comments, he tried to make one of the most beloved members of the...

...community feel like they're nothing but a jealous mean person. Which couldn't be further from the truth.

Just so you're aware bud, we're not jealous of you & your growing success Mate.

Simply put Dan, VWQ, Danarchy, whatever you want to go by, we just don't like a***holes.
