Your feelings about a book are valid, whatever they are, and your opinion is your own, and I do not argue with reviewers, unless.

Unless what I'm arguing with is "why is X gay/disabled/not exactly like me? It doesn't serve the story."
That is the one thing I WILL argue with, because a person's identity belongs to them. It's not a plot device. Now, once I know a person's identity, in fiction, I may used it as a plot device--I also may not. It depends on the story.
But if straightness doesn't have to be justified by the narrative, neither does queerness. If straight people get to just exist and have adventures, so do queer people. Period.

And that point, I WILL argue.
