Maandag begint in #Londen de uitleveringszaak tegen #Julian #Assange, deze zal weken duren. Ik kan er door die verplichte quarantaine regels niet bij zijn.

De rechtbank is duidelijk over haar inspanningen eea te willen laten zien:
'Unfortunately proceedings in this case will not be streamed through the internet'.

ook de publieke tribune in de UK is extreem slecht bereikbaar:
'The public can attend the public gallery at the Central Criminal Court but spaces are very limited.'
Wanneer je als pers naar binnen zou willen vereist dat een internationale perskaart. Maar ik werk onafhankelijk.

bij de hoorzitting in februari waren er demonstranten uit tientallen landen in de wereld, met name de Fransen (gele hesjes) waren te gek! Ze waren met bussen gekomen.

ik zal gasten benaderen en proberen via podcasts verslag te doen van wat er gebeurt daar. Ik was bepaald kritisch op correspondent Tim de Wit, die uitsluitend het verhaal van de Amerikanen optekende en de rest van de week verstek liet gaan in februari.

I'll not be able to be in London myself due to the Corona quarantaine rules, so there's no point travelling :-(. I feel muzzled. Hope you're doing ok?
