LONG THREAD : Success doesn't come with signings alone, it takes a huge team-effort, patience, time and the trust of the board to win major trophies. Lampard will need time for the players to get going and it won't come easily.

#Chelsea
After Chelsea won the UCL in 2012, RDM was backed with Hazard, Oscar, Moses, Azpi & Ba to name a few, all were decent ones but unproven at the highest level. The result? We failed at the group stage & RDM was sacked. Call it ruthless or just the backing of the board was missing.
For instance Guardiola joined City in 2016 & the first time ever he went trophyless. Now I'm not comparing Guardiola & RDM but shows City hired him with a long term project in mind & backed him next season with Walker, Mendy, Ederson, Bernardo Silva & he won the league that year.
Guardiola had vision & knew what he wanted. Apart from Mourinho's UTD no one could compete with that squad. Chelsea's off-field distractions were huge. Klopp was with Liverpool since 2 years but lacked backing & Arsenal were still heavily relying on Ozil & Sanchez. No competition
Klopp signed for Liverpool in Oct, 2015 & the club renewed his contract till 2022, post an impressive EL campaign where they lost to Sevilla 3-1 in the final. Imagine a manager getting a contract extension for reaching a EL final at City, UTD or Chelsea. But he had a proven past.
Although LFC had plans & a top manager in Klopp, he groomed TAA & Robertson + buying the right players with the Coutinho money is a credit to their perseverance & getting Van Dijk & Alisson was no joke. Add Salah Mane and Firmino to that? Result? A force in Europe! Domination đź’Ż
Even a single World Class signing can do wonders for the team. Imagine Arsenal w/o Auba's goals or United last season w/o Bruno's impact, Ibra at Milan or Lukaku's introduction at Inter. If you don't agree, look at Barcelona after Neymar or Neuer's impact in this season.
Hope CFC backs Lamps if he gets the required results, as he did what the club demanded last year & as many expected he won't finish in the top 6. He's been backed by the board now. A realistic season as per fans would be finishing comfortably in top 3, QF/Semis in UCL & a trophy
End Note: Remember MC didn't have competition in 2017 & LFC have been impressive since then. So expecting a title run against these teams is a big task. Also highly impressed with Arteta & feel the club should back him now. Also if UTD secure Sancho & a LB? It's tough out there!
