September 5 is a day of mourning for me.

It’s the anniversary of when Crazy Horse, our bravest warrior, was murdered.

They arrested him after he came in peace & stabbed him in the back.

Crazy Horse was protected by the Thunderbeings. It was the only way they could kill him.
Tasunka Witko (Crazy Horse) was a spiritual visionary, fierce war leader & our defender & protector. He was a brilliant military strategist who gave the Lakota multiple victories over the US government at the Fetterman Fight, the Battle of Rosebud & Greasy Grass (Little Big Horn)
They could not imprison him. This is his gravesite, but they will never find Crazy Horse’s body. His relatives & loyalists sworn to him took his mortal remains. He is with us.

Prophecy says the Lakota defender of the sacred Black Hills will return. #LandBack
Crazy Horse was a dreamer. He followed his visions like an eagle seeking the deepest blue of the sky.

He bucked tradition. He wouldn’t wear a warbonnet & was never declared a Chief, but he was.

He loved his People.

He fought with his heart.
Crazy Horse has had a profound effect on me & shaped who I am.

Everywhere we go, everywhere I go, he is with us. He will always be on the frontlines because He is the Spirit of Liberation from Tyranny. We protect the land & water for our children.

Strong hearts to the front.
