Player overview: Hakim Ziyech is a 27 year old morrocan International who arrived from ajax for a fee of 40m euros which seems like a bargain for a three time Eredivese champion, 3 time ajax player of the year, champions league semifinalist sadly going out to Tottenham

and one time Eredivese pots aswell as a member of the UEFA squad of the season for the 18/19 campaign. Not bad for 40 million

What he adds to the team: While its easy to talk accolades. They don't necessarily always means that a player would fit the team they sign for but hakim ziyech certainly does fit. He excels at pretty much everything a winger needs to excel at.

Combining all the attributes to tell us that hes going to excel at Chelsea. While lacking great physicallity he makes up for it with incredible technical ability. Proven by:

Dribbling: he attempts 5 dribbles/g with a 55% success rate making up for his slight lack of pace with the ability to embarrass most defenders at will like shown in this clip here before offering up a cheeky assist to dusan tadic

Passing: Ziyech is an absolutely astonishing passer of the ball. able to try long passes many players in world football wouldnt even attempt and completing them graciously. he quite frankly makes it look too easy for him.

I could go on for days waxing lyrical about the man's passing. I really could but instead ill hit you with facts. he attempts 6.4 long balls per game completing 61% of them which is good especially for a creative player. an illustration of his brilliant passing in a popular gif.

playing approx. 47 short passes/g and succeeding with 80% of them. again, really good for a creator with his attributes considering that KdB's accuracy comes in at 81% and fernandes' comes in at 77%

Chance creation: The main thing Ziyech was brought in for this season is adding creativity. something chelsea's right flank has lacked 2559 days until ziyech played his first friendly match against Brighton. now we have a creative force on the right now between him and reece

Shooting and setpiece brilliance:after 7 years of consistent first man corners chelsea are set to have their first season with a proper set piece taker who goes by the name of ziyech. We saw his set piece prowess first hand when chelsea played ajax in the groupstage.

Ziyech has proof of his setpiece and shooting prowess all over the place. The guy legit eats and drinks technique. I can't find accurate statistics for his setpieces but he definitely passes the eye test. Cold pic that too.

How he will fit in at Chelsea: Hakim ziyech is a very versatile forward. The whole forward line is incredibly versatile in fact with Ziyech able to play 10, on either wings, CM or SS, Werner able to olay ST or LW. pulisic able to play across the forward line and havertz the same

Giving us a lot of different options when it comes to tactics and formations and giving FL a tactical headache which will make us very unpredictable. Ill expect ziyech to start on the RW which seems like his main prefered position but often interchanging with havertz midgame

all of these aforementioned stats and facts are quite indicative that chelsea have a hell of a player on their hands who will look very comfortable combining with his teammates and making a deadly creative force down the righthand side with Reece James and kai havertz
