The double line theory

Double solid lines are usually found in roads where it's too risky or dangerous to overtake. For instance; at a sharp bend. The idea is to not overtake or cross the double line at these points.
You may overtake or break the line if you want to, but if you do,
1. You might crash into an oncoming vehicle
2. You might be stopped by the traffic police and get fined.
3. or get through unscathed.
There are some who only follow these rules when they know that the police are around the corner. But in a situation where it's assumed there is no threat, they'd overtake a vehicle or break the line in a heartbeat.
If you are lucky, you might get away once, twice, or a few more times from getting killed or copped, but if you continue to break the rule as A PRACTICE assuming no threat, you will one day eventually get hit by an oncoming vehicle.
It's important to practice discipline and not overtake or break the line at the double line even when you feel there is no threat. This discipline will save your life.
COVID19 is the oncoming traffic.
We are taking many bends and curves as we go through this journey to eradicate COVID19. Please practice discipline. Please wear your masks correctly, maintain physical distancing, and when possible practice handwashing hygiene.
