I realized I haven't updated re: COVID since my sickness in March post Cowen conference.

I ended up getting my PCR result back 11 days post sample, it tested negative with an asterisk that the sample was not stored properly and was unreliable.
As some background, a coworker also at the conference got sick the same window and could not get a PCR test, we both got a Quest Ab test the same day a couple months later and his came back positive and mine negative.
My PCR test protocol allowed for storage at RT for 3 days, and my sample was sitting at RT the whole time. I got a call last week that my old sample was tested via a Quidel antigen test which tested positive. Go figure.
Not sure what the discordance of tests is related to, but it seems that I certainly don't have any reliable immunity.

I applied to participate in a COVID vax study via the NIH portal and was matched to the $AZN study this AM.
According to the protocol, and after a quick discussion with the Emory leader site, as long as my PCR and Ab were negative I am eligible. I am looking forward to helping the study proceed quickly and while skeptical of long lasting immunity I'd love to help figure that out.
