Some of my best reading memories as a kid were with Conan Doyle.

This is a collection of the original short stories and novels published in The Strand Magazine in London from 1891 to 1927. With original illustrations.
I think my Mum picked these up in London during her travels when I was a kid.

Gosh. Just look at the illustrations.

I’ve read these books with so much enthusiasm and love.
Holmes was the reason I made my folks buy me numerous ‘detective kits’ and magnifying glasses.

I’ve spent hours dusting the door handle to my Mum’s office for fingerprints.
Also, the reason why, I would embarrassingly spout “Elementary” whenever I found something I was asked to find. Like car keys. 😋
Also found this. A bookmark tucked away between the pages. With my doodles on it.

Such a hit of nostalgia.

A time in my life where developing my powers of deduction was my only priority. 🕵🏻‍♂️
