Old Canadian city halls that were destroyed and replaced with a monstrosity in the last 60 years: a thread.

I've always lamented our beautiful old city hall (destroyed in '65), and loathed its soulless replacement - but I never knew this was so widespread throughout the country!
Regina (demolished in 1965 to make room for a mall)
Ottawa (a fire destroyed the old one in 1931)
Hamilton (destroyed in 1961)
Kitchener (destroyed in 1973 to make room for a shopping mall/parking garage 🙄)t
Brandon (destroyed in 1971)
There are sadly many other cases of this in Canada's smaller cities/towns as well. Toronto's beautiful old city hall was thankfully saved in 1989, but sadly they're now risking things again by proposing to make it a shopping mall.
