Gearing up to send an email to my kids’ teachers stating that they need to start working with parents so that parents can keep working to earn money to pay teachers to watch parents do their jobs for them.

I love educators and they play a vital role in our societies, but they have as a profession failed almost as hard as the CDC has at COVID.

What elementary school kids need: asynchronous education with pacing that matches the family’s ability to build teaching into their routines.

What elementary school kids got: teachers playing pretend classroom with parents acting as unpaid assistants.

“But we are doing the same amount of work!”

I have no idea how, because I’m doing all the teaching here.
