This is either another example of the total disconnect between what the administration says and what it actually does, or it shows the initiative against critical race theory is red meat electioneering

It's likely Trump actually does not approve of anti-white stuff, but he does not understand that literally everyone around him is a swamp creature -- he made a former paid immigration lobbyist the head of DHS only recently

You see this in the critical race theory directive itself: we will trust agencies to act responsibly and of their own volition put an end to this
