Extraordinary results need not necessarily come from extra ordinary efforts. #Compounding
Identifying basics of whatever you do, sticking to it over a longer period of time and gradual (even a snail-paced) scaling gives extraordinary results. Lets visit them one one by one:
Last thing, Timing a strange thing. Even best skilled people struggle to make a mark for long time. Skype, a video conferencing app, est 2003, is a great product but its Zoom which reaped all benefits during COVID'19.
1 Identifying Basics: While making French Fries, you will realize potato is over-rated. In fact, temperature, timing, preparation & knowledge of how other ingredients taste are key enablers
2 Sticking to it Getting it 1st time right is beginner's luck, dont stop there. Repeat it. Repetition will reveal the secrets of enablers, patiently seeing will empower you. Don't scale yet. For God's sake. Develop a dry mindset and continue repetition contd..

#Consistency
Not scaling = sticking to basics. Repeating them= Strength. Repeat it 2, 5, 10, 25 times...500 times? Result will be unique each time. I ran for 1 to 3 km for 1.5 years. and still got a knee injury when I did 10k+ twice. I repeat, Repetition of basics = Strength.
As our mind is designed to crave for pleasure, something new, repeating basics is the most difficult part as its boring. Words cant express the importance, this video might:
3 Gradual Scaling Congratulations! Ordinary effort is done. Time for extraordinary returns? Not yet. Whatever skill you have developed, will lay golden eggs but don't crave for all in few days. Why not you ask? Well here is an example from the past:
Starbucks was launched in 1971, ventured Korea in 1999 and its 1000th Korean store in 2016. Why not all in 1 year? Different phases of growth require different skills. Skills to launch 1st store in Seattle and that for 1st store in foreign land are totally different. contd..
Engineering makes oneskilled, MBA gives scaling power. Scaling, if failed, has a downside as well. Understanding how much & when to scale, managing its downsides is a new game. To take an example, this is called Position Sizing and Risk Management in Equity Trading. contd..
