The Capital Hill Occupied Protest (CHOP) zone, independent of police and government control immediately showed a significant reduction of violent demonstrations- down to zero- where the disbandment of CHOP saw an increase in violent demonstrations (P)
Prior to authority deployment, over 83% of demonstrations in Oregon were non-violent. Post-deployment, the percentage of violent demonstrations has risen from under 17% to 42%, suggesting that the federal response has only aggravated unrest (Q)
