Look, Pinoys who identify as non-binary can label themselves as Filipinx. That's perfectly fine. I will, however, side with the argument that "Filipino" is gender neutral.

If someone identifies as Filipinx, let them. It may just be them finding the language that suits them.
But, yes, even the term "Filipino" itself is problematic. It creates a monolith out of a diverse nation. Conversations around indigenous identities is a whole another conversation on its own.

I'm not calling myself or any kababayan Filipinx UNLESS the individual identifies as gender non-binary and prefers Filipinx to express that gender identity.

But if a FilAm does it but does so for reasons irrelevant to gender, ibang usapan na yan.
