My #Rejoin tag is staying put.

I’m not ever going to apologise for wanting to maintain Freedom of Movement so that any of us can move to wherever in Europe we feel comfortable. I’m not going to apologise or backtrack in wanting to retain the market efficiencies of Eu membership.

I’m not going to even begin to apologise for wanting disadvantaged people in utterly marginalised areas left for dead to have the freedom to go and live in a country where they can start afresh.

Freedom of movement isn’t an elitist thing, because the rich already have global FOM. It’s designed to allow pretty much anyone the chance to move.

I know there are many business, economic and employment arguments both for and against EU membership. My keen interest in EU membership has always been social however. Being part of such a large and wonderful continent fosters personal freedom.

Some people may drop by and say “we are still part of Europe”. Let’s not kid ourselves that once we have to apply for residency, have mobile roaming charges, have to leave Fido in kennels as we go on holiday, have to pay a lot more in charges, that we won’t be 2nd class Europeans

All I’m asking for is equality, and the benefits conferred especially on the poor and young to be who they want, where they want on this wonderful continent.

I even want to maintain FOM for you if you are that person driving the camper van I followed onto a ferry once adorned with a massive BREXIT NOW sticker. The irony of you using your FOM to promote the loss of your FOM wasn’t lost on me.
