hi. i was thinking a lot before coming here to talk about this... again. this whole situation with yibo and sdoc is making me uncomfortable and i'm seeing a lot of people pretending that it doesn't matter or trying mute black stans when we talk about it. i'm also feeling +
extremely uncomfortable with the fact that some people are acting as if we were yibo's antis when we say he did something wrong. cultural appropriation IS wrong and there's nothing wrong to point that. saying your fav did something wrong doesn't mean you hate him or will stop +
supporting him, it just means that he's done something wrong! and i get it that's because of the show and etc, but black culture ain't just a fashion icon. and culture appropriation IS wrong! trying to pretend like nothing happened is making it worse. and trying to pretend +
that black stans aren't hurt by these things is also making it worse. and that's why some accs are shutting down or taking a break, because it's getting tiring. i'm also tired of wanting to talk about something but "being afraid" with people coming at me.
this whole show is full of cultural appropriation and this is disrespectful with us. we're constantly being mocked and getting called "dirty" "thugs" etc when we wear our culture but it's suddenly okay for non blacks to wear it? this ain't right, guys. that's the whole problem +
of cultural appropriation. our ancestors were killed because of it, we're still getting killed because of it and for being black. this isn't right. we all need to sit down and listen to what black people have to say about this. i really think it's important to create a +
safe environment where we can discuss about this and where we can speak about our fav's mistakes and discuss about it. we don't live under a dome where everything's perfect. we do need to talk about some issues.
