I wish more voices of influence would speak up for what is right. Because now it's not only about one girl and her guilt or innocence but also about the joke that has become of the Indian media.

The ease with which the public was ready to call a woman a witch and a gold digger and seductress before any guilt was established, shows the deeply ingrained misogyny.
The way people are supporting ill practices by media persons in the name of justice.

Do they even care about the unfortunate passing away of the person or is it just a free for all buffet? Hurl any insult at the girl, call her names, bully anyone who comes in support.

I feel like a hypocrite not taking any real stance. I stayed away from this case in the beginning because when I first heard about the actor committing suicide, I was not in the best state of mind n the mention of or reading about it would send me down a spiral

I occasionally heard about this case and people linking it to nepotism. I rolled my eyes and moved on. It's typical Bollywood drama. A month or so later I heard about it again while my family was changing channels

This time I heard the words black magic and witch being thrown around. This is what caught my attention. Surely, the Indian audience has matured enough to not drink this up, right?

I still tried to ignore this case since my mental state was still not the best at the time. But against my better judgement, I eventually got into it recently.

Just want people to come forward and let the media know that the public doesn't support what they are doing.
Anyway, I am tweeting from my stan account so I am not sure if it's wise to get involved directly lest these pests attack our boys.

I will delete this thread later but I posted it this account because I wanted some advice and I usually trust my ARMY moots to be level headed at least when it comes to human rights and social issues. I am also relatively anonymous here and have a bit more followers.
