Can someone please help me (and I’m sure many others) understand what a Community Interest Company (CIC) actually is? As far as I was aware CICs existed as social enterprises where profits would be fed back into communities to benefit those who otherwise wouldn’t have access 1/?

To the resources/services/even jobs that “normal” corporations don’t provide. In my mind this exists as say @SocialBite_ and @thebigissue. In the last wee while I’ve come across numerous CICs who seem to have no links to any community development or progression. While I 2/?

Completely understand resources to communities will be limited in current times, what is actually setting these groups/spaces/companies apart from standard commercial businesses? Please someone make it make sense!! End thread.
