there's been so many dope arabic hip hop tracks made, just looking back it all makes me so proud honestly
a thread perhaps? you tell me if you give a shit
okay would be amiss by not starting with the first people who made Arabic hip hop sound dope in my humble opinion, Ramallah Underground. can't go wrong with any of their work really
here's some of my favorite work by Stormtrap (Ramallah Underground alum), he's incredible as both a producer and rapper
and this is one of my favs by Muqata'a (another erstwhile Ramallah Underground member). this man is a sonic titan honestly. beast on the boards and mic. just listen to this
this is a classic track by Deeb, one of the pioneers of Egyptian hip hop. dude's got the smoothest flow and voice
the esoteric, unhinged, hardhitting HAMORABI. this is one of my favs but not my top pick
(this is my fav HAMORABI track). certified Arabic hip hop classic.
here's one of my favorite by one of the brightest younger voices in the scene, Muhandas. his flows and lyrics are so intricate and massive sounding, they almost sound geometrical. second verse n beat by Stormtrap (now known as Asifeh) are killer.
WMD from Tunisia is just such a refined MC. a style perfected
my favorite rapper and producer out of the entire Arabian Peninsula: Dattune. and i think he's just getting started
this dude is a star now, Bu Kulthoum from Damascus. this is my fav of his from earlier on in his career
this is a foundational track by THE unsung trailblazer and originator of Arabic hip hop in the levant. Eslam Jawaad:
(seeing how long i can keep this thread going without listing any of my direct affiliates because that would be corny but we'll get there)
fuck it here's my homie Satti. realest dude alive. he's made a whole lot of dope stuff but this will always be a super special track to me. The Arab Samurai đŸ‡”đŸ‡ž
