Okay I’m sooo bored and I have time on my hands. As a documentary fanatic I have decided to make a thread on my favourite docuseries/documentaries, lets goooo!
So I loved The Last Dance on Netflix! It’s a series following the life of Michael Jordan and the 97-98 chicago bulls era. It features so many other NBA personalities, rare footage and deconstructs MJ’s persona even further, intriguing even for someone who isn’t a Basketball fan!
Quincy on Netflix was soo cool for me! This film is about record producer and singer Quincy Jones. From working with Michael Jackson to producing fresh prince of bel-air to his classical past, it shows ALL of Quincy Jones‘ mad life experiences with such unparalleled access!
THIS DOC HAS MOST EPIC STORY I HAVE EVER SEEN! Without spoiling much, it tells the story of triplets separated at birth and their SHOCKING reunion. The story really blows your mind honestly but reveals some dark, unethical secrets! A must to watch on Netflix!
I’ve always been into fashion history particularly the different houses of fashion in the 90s. This doc explores the life of Alexander Mcqueen and the notoriety of his designs! Its soo captivating, shows how respected he was by the fashion industry despite being so unconventional.
13th is a powerful doc on history of the deeply embedded racism in the US. It perfectly documents how racism has been persistent through the different eras: Jim Crow, Post-Jim Crow & how the 13th amendment has a huge role on mass incarceration. Amazing, insight & interviews too!
This documentary is sooo cool and features soo many cameos! It looks at the life of Interscope record executives Jimmy Iovine & Dr Dre. It merges a range of musical history from Marilyn Manson, Tupac, NWA, Suge Knight stories😳 to how Eminem was discovered. So many crazy stories!
