The only reason I think this is because the US is stupid and needs to pander to stupid people so they need to give them gold stars essentially to get the vaccine out there (3/?)

People who are explicitly antivax are dumb but those who truly don’t have access to medical/health care who either won’t be able to afford it or even know it exists are not the problem (4/?)

Like look at what is happening right now with the Mandate Flu shots for kids going to school, news flash people, I don’t know if you have kids or never saw your documents for school, you have a whole host of vaccinations you need to even attend a school, and one more (5/?)

Isn’t going to be the end of the world, and guess what? For those asking why it’s even necessary? If your kid gets sneezed on, or coughed on or shares food/drink/school supplies, your kid is going to get the flu. Why would you want to add getting the flu (6/?)

To the list of illness that your child is exposed to, we are already dealing with COVID-19 you really want to play games when you could help prevent the spread of the FLU. I never understood why it wasn’t mandatory in the first place. You put a bunch of children/kids/teens (7/?)

In an enclosed area for hours at time you are going to have problems!! Every YEAR they anticipate flu season at schools, hell, even wonder why you feel grimey at college living in communal doors? Same fucking reasons!! You close quarters with a large amount of people

You are bound to be sick!! It’s so frustrated that we have the medical technology to prevent this illness but because it’s so written off as “oh haha I just have the flu so silly it’s okay :)” that it isn’t taken seriously

Then circling back to COVID-19, just look how people treated the situation early on, by comparing it to the Flu, and as soon as they did that people stop worrying as much. Because people see the flu as a joke and not an actual disease that can be fatal under the correct
