I hadn't really thought about doing a thread of bandcamp stuff today but I may as well while I have a few minutes during kiddo's naptime. These are all albums I've been really into lately. Starting with: Opaquer by KMRU, his second full length this year https://dagorettirecords.bandcamp.com/album/opaquer
1000 Faces by @wc_helmets ok this one came out on minidisc, it's that special! The minidiscs are unfortunately sold out but the music is super worth it on digital or cd https://whettmanchelmets.bandcamp.com/album/1000-faces
ambient/synth/new age favorite (seriously, I love this guy) Lunaria @danilunaria dropped Asphodel Medows this year and it might be my favorite release of his yet. https://geologyrecords.bandcamp.com/album/asphodel-meadows
oh here's KMRU again with the Erased EP, one I grabbed last week after hearing only half the first track. Extremely different from both of his new albums, not to be missed. https://kmru.bandcamp.com/album/erased-ep
Black Buildings, by Detroit Escalator Co. This 2002 release is still one of my favorite ambient techno albums ever, and the artist aka Neil Ollivierra is criminally under-known. Essential genre touchstone https://peacefrog.bandcamp.com/album/black-buildings-album
Pulse Emitter dropped Performs today as a pay-what-you-want and it's a massive set of live releases from 2005 to last year, from 13 minutes to over 30 in length each. There's a lot of synthy droney psychedelic space to get lost in here https://pulseemitter.bandcamp.com/album/performs
Vestals - Holy Origin is the newest discovery for me. this project from Lisa McGee is a gorgeous, rattling fusion of deep space production and otherworldly vocals. She's worked with both Jefre Cantu Ledesma and Sarah Davachi, to hint at the sound better https://vestals.bandcamp.com/album/holy-origin
Eris Drew's ( @ErisDrew ) Fluids of Emotion is easily the best house record I've heard all year. So much propulsive joy fit into less than 20 minutes. Can't miss https://erisdrew.bandcamp.com/album/fluids-of-emotion-it-44
I've mentioned it a few times but The Cycle by Mourning [A] BLKstar is one of the best albums of 2020 and an absolutely essential listen for anyone of any particular tastes. If you haven't got it already, now's your chance. https://mourningablkstar.bandcamp.com/album/the-cycle
Onyx Ashanti - Live From Bauchund Gallery 2010 is absolutely the most fiery, wild, techno-house-??? adjacent music I've heard in a LONG time. Everything he's released is worth a listen though so you may as well grab the full discography for only $7 https://onyxashanti.bandcamp.com/album/onyx-ashanti-live-from-bauchhund-gallerie-official-bootleg-2010
D.K. - Riding for a Fall came out last year but this tight little techno EP is still one of the most adventurous, colorful, and flat out fun albums of its type. I get huge dream-video-game vibes from the whole thing tbh https://antinoterecordings.bandcamp.com/album/atn048-d-k-riding-for-a-fall
L'île D'or by Vague Imaginaires is a huge, questing mix of ambient / new age, nature exploration, echoes of house, and a lot of genuine warmth, which is desperately needed this year. it's the French artist's debut album, incredibly https://vagueimaginaires.bandcamp.com/album/l-le-dor
Cygnus - Neon Flux. cyberpunk comfort food, but really well made. the cover art says it all https://worldbuilding.bandcamp.com/album/neon-flux
oh yeah, this two-track release by Call Super & Parris is just incredibly tactile, jazzy vibrant, and addicting https://callsuperandparris.bandcamp.com/album/canufeelthesunonyrback
