The Advocate’s lawyer just said Scurlock’s charge for masturbation “certainly was newsworthy.” https://twitter.com/SaraSneath/status/1301934633139998725
Did I mention Scurlock is representing himself? He says he’s wearing an LSU hat to the Zoom hearing bc he studied prelaw at LSU.
After Scurlock goes on some rant about the Advocate taking over the http://Nola.com  website and changing articles. The judge said “I’m just trying to understand what you’re saying.” Aren’t we all, judge.
Scurlock says he has three adult children who were “grossly embarrassed” by the stories the newspaper wrote about him being charged for lewd conduct.
Scurlock says he’s going to pursue further legal action against the newspaper because in a story about this lawsuit the paper used “masturbation” in the headline.
For those who were going to make this a drinking game (me), the Advocate’s lawyer was stifled from saying masturbation like 100 more times because the judge said she didn’t need to know the details of story.
