Time for more PositivePlumbob. For the next few days, every day I will post 25 small details that I enjoy in TS4 (some may not exclusive to TS4 but most are). Some are very well known but some may surprise you! The list is super random and follows no order. Ready? Follow me! 👇👇
1. Sims will scrape any leftover food off the plate before washing the dishes or putting them in the dishwasher (they won't do this if they have eaten the whole serving and there's no leftovers)
2.- Sims can prepare make sack lunches and take them to school or to work (if it's a rabbit hole career they will usually eat it at around 1PM and come back home full and with a "packed with love" +2 happiness buff)
3.- Any cake can be a birthday cake or a wedding cake. You just have to add the right topper. The end of "premade" birthday cakes!
4.- Tucking in a toddler who's been fussy gives a special happy moddlet to the parents.
5. Sims actually have a dominant hand. This is absolutely random but can be changed with a cheat. E.g. to make them left handed:
traits.remove_trait trait_handedness_right
traits.equip_trait trait_handedness_left
6.- Sim parents can give teens the woohoo talk. It's a very awkward thing and results in both sims being embarrassed about the super awkward conversation.
7.- Kids and teens can go through phases and teens can also have mood swings if you have parenthood. And they are literally THE BEST.
8. For the first time in Sims game, sims can get student loans. Apart from merit-based scholarships, there are also scholarships based on household funds to help sims climb the socioeconomic ladder.
9. Sims can pack their restaurant leftovers in a nice doggie bag xD
10.- Sims can decorate the Holiday tree together...and if they don't pick the right combinations it will look like a mess xD
11.- Holidays are so much more meaningful in this game and I love. Did you know that on New Year's Eve, after the countdown to midnight sims will autonomously seek a friend to hug or their partner to kiss?
12.- Sims can eat and drink at the same time. I remember this is something I wanted since forever. Their breakfast finally look complete.
13.- This brings me to FAMILY MEALS. Thanks to multitasking, you can really have proper family meals where everyone eats, drinks and talks about the stuff you direct them to. My sims always catch up and ask everyone about their day at dinner.
14.- Sims will have a different relationship with their siblings depending on their relationship growing up. A subling will be an "ally" or a "rival" and depeding on that: super siblings, childhood buds/enemies, Thick as Thieves, Family Frenemy, Childhood Tormentor).
15.- Same goes for parents +grandparents. But also depends on the parent's parenting method ("relaxed" or "authoritative"). E.g. you can have "guided child", "respected heir", mommy's/daddy's boy", Oh Captain, My Captain, etc. This affects their relationship for life.
16.- No more pregnancy chimes. Sims must take a pregnancy test or wait and find out...the other way xD
17.- Children can play in closets and it's the cutest.
18.- Toddlers can be a freaking mess and a handful. They can play with almost any object (including planters!) and of course also make messes (no cats were harmed in this scene).
19.- Sims can be enemies with benefits if they have a high romance bar but a low friendship bar.
20.- Sims can also apologize in bed after an argument (and probably after a frenzied kiss). True to real life and works like a charm.
21.- Cow plants will dance if you place a stereo next to them.
22.- If a sim that has attended college reads the acceptance letter after graduating (or as an adult) they will get a nice memory / moodlet.
23.- If a child sim plays a lot with the doctor playset and then becomes a doctor as an adult, they get a specia moodlet.
24.- If there is a computer in the lot when a rocket is launched, other sims can "Listen to space launch". And if the sims woohoo in the rocket...they can also "listen to space woohoo".
25.- Toddlers can have nightmares and they will wake their parents up terrified. To prevent nightmares: have the toddler listen to the lullaby radio station or read them to sleep by an adult. Also when their thinking skill goes up the nightmares will happen less frequently.
