2gether and still2gether just exposed some people's mentality that lgbt+ stories are only represented by either sexual intimacy, dark, or profound storylines when love can be represented in different forms of affection and languages which people fail to realize.
warmth and comfort in a relationship are not only felt when people have sex or when they're overly affectionate. it can be felt through simple smooches, cooking for your s/o, or just by simply being with them basking in peaceful silence which s2g have shown for the past episodes.
plus, in terms of lgbt, it is also worth noting that s2g did not just show lgbt in plainly the love of sarawatine. it has raised remarks of how love is not about the sexuality and also with earn's part in tonight's episode where she confides to wat about her identity.
earn's part emphasized how many are still in the process of identifying themselves or are still in the process of self-discovery. it's one of the things that are not often seen since it's either it's identified from the start already or it's not shown at all.
people should stop reducing the lgbt representation in media by only counting kisses, the levels of intimacy that the characters do when it's much more than that. sure, it's a factor. but continuously bringing it up and canceling out whole context of the show is just ain't it.
is it really hard for some to just leave the series alone instead of watching it just to nitpick on how it doesn't have a kiss? leave it to us who appreciates this kind of love and to everyone who wants to feel light and in love with the way sarawatine expresses their love.
s2g has also shown us how the characters have trust in their friend groups that they can easily express whatever is about their sexuality. in a way, it has the power to normalize being able to converse comfortably about your identity and be able to express your sexuality arnd ppl
