Today is the anniversary of Joan Rivers death. In 2014 2 months before she died, she saw me eating spaghetti alone at Craig’s on the verge of tears and took off the ring she was wearing and gave it to me and some wise words I carry to this day. That ring still sits in my mantle.

She changed my life that night. When she died I said life is short, I gotta make moves. I went on to have this 2 year odyssey that led to me getting the guy, the love, the work, and setting the course for inner growth I still do today. I thank her forever for seeing me whole.

I’m crying thinking about that night, because we’re so lacking in true connection and authentic community and interaction right now. You never know what a little encouragement can do to someone you may not even know. RIP Joan I’m still looking up to you from down here.
