1.) This is a thread about just SOME of the times that candidate & President Trump has disrespected the military, fumbled military responses & praised dictators. I know that it won& #39;t change minds of die-hards who don& #39;t even believe any of this is true. The *ONE hope I have from
2.) people who refuse to believe that it& #39;s true - tells me that they don& #39;t want it to be true because they know it& #39;s wrong. Maybe, MAYBE there& #39;s hope for them. (Sadly, I doubt it.) Then there are people who have been so brainwashed that they don& #39;t CARE if it& #39;s true as many
3.) Americans now have the same radical views that Trump does -and try to frame people like me as "rah-rah-military-and-war" while they brainwashed-ly don& #39;t see the problem with Putin. Anyway. If anyone reading this is undecided - or anyone reading this just wants a lot of facts
5.) At a rally in Denver, July 2016, after saying that his kids had star power - he ranted about General John Allen. "You know who he is? He’s a failed general. He was the general fighting ISIS. I would say he hasn& #39;t done so well, right?” Trump said. https://www.politico.com/story/2016/07/donald-trump-general-john-allen-226462">https://www.politico.com/story/201...
6a.) “Trump belittled the parents of a slain Muslim soldier who had strongly denounced Mr. Trump during the DNC, saying that the soldier’s father had delivered the entire speech because his mother was not “allowed” to speak.” - July 2016
10.) In a total break from tradition & reality, Trump refers to the military as “MY generals and MY military…” which upsets lifelong military members who understand that the military belongs to the nation, not the president. https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-my-generals-my-military-2017-10">https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-my-...
16.) Trump lied and said that he was “extremely busy” on Veterans Day and couldn’t visit the Arlington Cemetery. (Although his schedule - which is public - was empty that day.) https://www.vox.com/2018/11/17/18100208/donald-trump-arlington-veterans-day">https://www.vox.com/2018/11/1...
19.) Lt. Col. Alexander S. Vindman, a decorated Iraq war veteran who served on the staff of the White House National Security Council who should have been promoted had to retire due to a campaign of intimidation and retaliation from Trump. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/07/08/us/politics/vindman-trump-ukraine-impeachment.html">https://www.nytimes.com/2020/07/0...
22.) Trump praised President Xi of the People’s Republic of China as being a King. "President Xi, who is a strong man, I call him King, he said, & #39;But I am not King, I am president.& #39; I said, & #39;No, you& #39;re president for life...."
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1904/03/cg.02.html">https://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIP...
24.) Trump praised Turkish Pres Erdogan (sued by Swedish authorities for genocide & crimes against humanity) "It& #39;s my honor to be with a friend of mine, somebody I& #39;ve become close to in many respects, & he& #39;s doing a very good job: the President of Turkey." https://tinyurl.com/y6lgfh23 ">https://tinyurl.com/y6lgfh23&...
25.) Candidate Trump criticized Obama praising Putin instead. "The man has very strong control over a country....but certainly in that system, he& #39;s been a leader. Far more than our president has been a leader." https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=T50EGndMJnM">https://www.youtube.com/watch...
26.) Trump has praised North Korea’s dictator Kim Jung Un many times. "Kim Jong Un has been somebody that I& #39;ve gotten to know very well and respect, and hopefully -- and I really believe that, over a period of time, a lot of tremendous things will happen.” https://tinyurl.com/y4b8l48o ">https://tinyurl.com/y4b8l48o&...
27.) Information on the human atrocities committed under dictator Kim Jong Un. A 2014 UN report cited, “extermination, enslavement, torture, rape, persecution based on religious, political grounds, starvation, disappearing people” and more. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/06/11/world/asia/north-korea-human-rights.html">https://www.nytimes.com/2018/06/1...
31.) Candidate Trump said, "Putin has done a really great job of outsmarting our country. He was so nice. He is really very much of a leader. He said nice things about me. I like him because he called me a genius. Putin did call me a genius.” https://www.reuters.com/video/watch/exclusive-us-drones-hacked-by-russia-in-id368403586">https://www.reuters.com/video/wat...
37.) Again as I said this thread is only SOME of Trump& #39;s words/actions re: the US military. I will throw some bullet points below in a last (but not totally comprehensive list) and you can Google.

*August 2017, Trump called Sen. Richard Blumenthal "a phony Vietnam con artist."
38.) *Jan 2019, Trump said retired 4-star General Stanley McChrystal was fired by former President Barack Obama "like a dog."

*Aug 2019, Trump told Democratic Rep. Seth Moulton, (formerly served as a US marine in Iraq) "You remain a frickin& #39; coward."
39.) *Oct 2019, Trump called his former Defense Secretary Jim Mattis (retired 4-star general) "the world& #39;s most overrated general."

*Oct 2019, Trump called Bill Taylor US& #39;s chief envoy to Ukraine, a "Never Trumper" then said that, "Never-Trumpers" were human scum.
40.) *June 2020, Trump brought active military to the streets against the American people.

I think that& #39;s a good ending spot for now.
41.) How could I have excluded the most important one. Trump is siding with https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🇷🇺" title="Flagge von Russland" aria-label="Emoji: Flagge von Russland"> and the Taliban. He doesn’t GAF that Putin put bounties to have the Taliban kill US soldiers. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nytimes.com/2020/07/29/us/politics/trump-putin-bounties.amp.html">https://www.google.com/amp/s/www...
