Alright, I'm hopping on the train and doing a Bandcamp day thread 🎵

For those unfamiliar, the first Friday of every month (today!) Bandcamp is waiving all of their artist fees so 100% of what you pay goes directly to supporting the musicians
I've picked 20 of my favourite albums released in the last couple months -- the mix of genres is kinda all over the place tbh, so I'm just going alphabetically
AMANI & King Vision Ultra - An Unknown Infinite

Awesome underground hip hop album, really vibrant & jazzy production w/ some great features from Elucid, Akai Solo & others. https://purpletapepedigree.bandcamp.com/album/an-unknown-infinite
Boris - NO

The metal legends turn up the power on NO, in what feels like a massive release of energy with driving punk force, noisy guitars and relentless beats. https://boris.bandcamp.com/album/no
City Light Mosaic - Indigo City Burning

Found this artist through their feature on the Material Girl album, and I enjoyed this album in a similar way, with a bunch of electronic vignettes that smoothly melt together. https://noagreements.bandcamp.com/album/indigo-city-burning
Crack Cloud - Pain Olympics

An art punk collective from Toronto, there's some pretty massive 80s new wave worship if you're into that, but with some fresh and fun songwriting. https://crackcloud.bandcamp.com/album/pain-olympics
Crazy Doberman - Hypnagogic Relapse And Other Penumbral Phenomena

One of my favourite artist discoveries this year, their blend of jazz, ambient & psychedelic music is played with a bold improvisational spirit. https://digitalregress.bandcamp.com/album/hypnogogic-relapse-and-other-penumbral-phenomena
Duma - s/t

For one of the most shockingly visceral albums of the year, check out Nairobi duo Duma who's fusing hardcore music with industrial electronics. https://nyegenyegetapes.bandcamp.com/album/duma
Ellen Fullman & Theresa Wong - Harbors

Drone, ambient & even classical music fans should take note of this, fusing cello & long-string instrument to build some gorgeous soundscapes. https://room40.bandcamp.com/album/harbors
Fall of Messiah - Senicarne

I'd been waiting for a post-rock album to blow me away this year, and this is it. The French group can get a bit screamo at points, but the highs here are incredible https://fallofmessiah.bandcamp.com/album/senicarne
Fontaines D.C. - A Hero's Death

The Irish post-punk group brought the heat on their sophomore album. Captivating songwriting, wicked guitar lines and a frontman whose vocals just fit in the most unlikely way https://fontainesdc.bandcamp.com/album/a-heros-death
Kath Bloom - Bye Bye These Are The Days

It's pretty rare that I enjoy a singer-songwriter album tbh, but there's something about Kath Bloom's voice, along with the stripped back folk guitars & harmonica that just hit the spot. https://kathbloom.bandcamp.com/album/bye-bye-these-are-the-days
Katie Dey - Mydata

An art pop album that becomes completely immersive, I've grown to love Katie's unique style of blending quirky samples and electronic elements into ways I wouldn't have expected them to work together. https://katiedey.bandcamp.com/album/mydata
Keleketla! - s/t

Afrobeat is so much fun, man. South African group Keleketla! puts their twist on it with some electronic fusions, but the spirit lives in their driving energy. Some fantastic solos on here too. https://keleketla.bandcamp.com/album/keleketla
Matmos - The Consuming Flame: Open Exercises in Group Form

Sure, it's three hours. Sure, it's an indulgent concept bringing in 99 collaborators at 99 bpm. But the way everything weaves together makes it easy to get lost in this electronic treasure trove. https://matmos.bandcamp.com/album/the-consuming-flame-open-exercises-in-group-form
Moor Mother & YATTA - Dial Up

What a year it's been for Moor Mother, who teams up with YATTA to bring the best of both worlds into this bluesy, jazzy, messy-in-the-best-way-possible sound collage album. https://moormother.bandcamp.com/album/dial-up
Protomartyr - Ultimate Success Today

Hell yes to everything Protomartyr. One of the best post-punk bands going released their fifth album, living up to all the amazing material they've released to date. https://protomartyr.bandcamp.com/album/ultimate-success-today
Robert Merlak - Finomehanika

Another sound collage album (I know, there's a lot), but Robert's machine-like textures make for some of the most entrancing music I've heard this year. https://coldblowrecords.bandcamp.com/album/finomehanika-swims
Rudolf http://Eb.er  - p a r a c u s i a .

Listening to this album for the first time at 1am might not've been the best idea... this single 35-minute track is chilling to the core even through its minimal noise. https://rudolfeber.bandcamp.com/album/p-a-r-a-c-u-s-i-a
Still House Plants - Fast Edit

Kinda experimental rock, but their fragmented and free range approach is constantly tearing down expectations and building something completely out of left field. https://bison-records.bandcamp.com/album/fast-edit
The Heliocentrics - Telemetric Sounds

The Bandcamp description of a "cosmic, psychedelic-funk ensemble" hits the nail on the head. When this group gets grooving, strap yourself in. https://theheliocentrics.bandcamp.com/album/telemetric-sounds-2
Young Jesus - Welcome to Conceptual Beach

A lot of indie rock has kinda gone over my head this year for being very similar to each other, but Young Jesus has been the exception with really creative and built-out songwriting. https://youngjesus.bandcamp.com/album/welcome-to-conceptual-beach
That's all for the thread, but please add more links if there's anything you've been enjoying lately!
I guess this thread isn't over because I've somehow neglected to mention EPs, of which there were a handful of great ones recently released. Picked my fav five for this thread...
Backxwash - Stigmata

Incredible hip hop artist from Montreal with a horrorcore & blaring industrial edge. Maybe not as overwhelming loud as their full-length project released earlier this year, but this feels like a more refined sound. https://backxwash.bandcamp.com/album/stigmata-ep
Galen Tipton - goddexx

I love Galen Tipton's versatility, whose January experimental pop EP as recovery girl is still my favourite of 2020. goddexx is different as a more pure wonky album, with addicting beats from front to back. https://o0o0o0o0.bandcamp.com/album/goddexx-unsl010
Mabe Fratti - Se Parece A

Guatemalan cellist Mabe Fratti has made some of the most beautiful and relaxing soundscapes I've ever heard, and her new EP is an amazing addition with some added synth layers. https://tinangelrecords.bandcamp.com/album/se-parece-a
Machine Girl - RePorpoised Phantasies

You can always count on the Machine Girl project to release something completely off-the-wall, and this might be my favourite yet, with blistering electronic beats while losing some of the angst. https://machinegirl.bandcamp.com/album/reporpoised-phantasies
Sufjan Stevens - America

Sufjan probably needs no introduction at this point, but the two lengthy tracks on his new EP might be two of my favourites from him, period. Looking forward to his album later this month. https://music.sufjan.com/album/america
